"issues"

Issue #1. Re: Left Behind books.
I knew this book series was inane, reactionary drivel, but the December 2005 Vanity Fair article, "American Rapture," by Craig Unger, brings up a very interesting point. The article explains that these books preach that when the Rapture happens, all the Jaysus freaks will be spirited away with the saints. It goes on to say that those left behind will be, "those ungodly, evolutionist, pro-abortion, secular humanists." In other words: scientists; rational, logical thinkers; artists; and altruists will be all that are left.

Hmmm, 1 + 1 = 2. I say, "BRING ON THE RAPTURE, BRING IT ON, BRING IT ON!!!! AIN'T NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT FOR JAYSUS TO COME GALLOPING HOME!!!!"

Issue #2. Re: The interview of John Lennon's murderer.
Last night, NBC devoted TWO HOURS to an interview and profile of this wreck of a psychotic freak who will remain nameless on my site. Why in holy hell would NBC, or anyone do this?? They should be ashamed to slither that low that they would give a public forum to this murderer in order to garner more money through ratings.

Who wants to see this? If it was shown at a University as a case study in psychosis, then fine, perfectly understandable. But, shown as a form of entertainment, this is wretched and disgusting, and immoral. Psychotic murderers should not be celebritized and given free reign to express their crazy thoughts to the public. What could the "interview" possibly teach us,: "Why did you shoot him?" "Cause a voice told me to." So what?! Did someone actually show an interest in seeing this? If so, these people need to reevaluate their morals and ethics because they are straight up, fucked up.

Most sickening of all, this murderview was aired weeks before the 25th Anniversary of Lennon's death. We should NOT be commemorating a great man by interviewing his killer. For all he did to advance modern music, culture, and thought, Lennon's life should have been exalted by NBC. Instead, the trash who ended his life was given two hours in the life of every American who watched "Primetime Live." Sickening.
